Standard Bank Private is excited to bring you South Africa’s premier consumer wine show once again, WineX. The must-attend event on Jozi’s calendar takes place from 29 - 31 October at the Sandton Convention Centre. 

Johannesburg will be awash with the shades of wine in time for the arrival of exhibitors in Sandton – to comprise an incredible variety of well-known award-winning cellars and lesser-known boutique brands, a range of artisanal foodies and bespoke accessory suppliers. Africa’s best private bank welcomes Gauteng wine lovers to share in this blend of the best.

Taste wines, champagnes, Cap Classiques, ports and pot-still brandies from over 150 exhibitors; the who’s who of the South African wine scene. The line-up includes over 800 wines, most of which are from the Cape, together with a selection of international wines and champagnes.

Additionally, there will be specialty meats, olives, cheese and chocolates, and an opportunity for wine-lovers to pause between tasting to enjoy a light meal or a wholesome snack. 

The all-popular Tasting Theatre programme (small group themed 30-minute tastings with the wine maker) will again be in full swing. And to conclude an evening of vinous discoveries on a high note, visitors can buy wine via the Shop@Show portal by Norman Goodfellows.

With the Shop@Show facility, wine enthusiasts have the opportunity to convert their best WineX tasting experiences into a cellar-stocking opportunity. Almost all of the exhibitors enter into a retail arrangement with a local fulfilment partner to ensure that their WineX offerings are immediately available to collectors and consumers at prices which rival the farm’s own retail trading environment.
