Tasting Notes

The Erica Shiraz shows classic Shiraz characters, full-bodied and bold. Aromatic notes of black fruit (plums& blackcurrant) pepper, underlined with wooden smoky tone. The palate is full, round and well balanced with an explosion of spice (anise, coriander and pepper) and red berries.

In The Cellar

All grapes were hand picked and sorted twice before a pure yeast culture was inoculated. The juice was pumped over the skins 3-5 times per day for 5 days. Once fermentation was complete, the wine was drained of the primary lees and transferred to a resting tank. Malolactic fermentation followed by a brief settling period in stainless steel tanks. The wine spent 36 months in first fill French barrel before bottling and labelling
