The Raka Wines teams are in a celebratory mood after their success at the Veritas and Michelangelo wine competitions, and so are the owners.

Raka won the Cabernet Sauvignon Trophy at the Michelangelo International Competition with their as yet unreleased  Raka  Erica Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, a wine that was matured for 36 months in new French Oak Barrels. This news was greeted with great excitement at Raka. The Raka Erica Shiraz 2016 won a Gold Medal.

Veritas crowned the ever popular Raka Quinary  2016 and Raka Biography Shiraz 2017 with the new  Silver Outstanding (SO) award. (which amounts to a B+ or an A- depending on your outlook in life) Raka Sauvignon Blanc 2019 won Silver, much to the joy of the vineyard team. "We work hard in the four different blocks of Sauvignon Blanc on the farm, each with their own terroir. We get very specific flavours from each block. Blended, they together make a good wine, worthy of a an accolade. It  is high time that our Sauvignon Blanc  is awarded again"

These wines, with the exception of the Erica range, will be presented for tasting at the WINEX WINE SHOW in the Sandton Convention Centre from 30 October – 1 November 2019 by Elna Dreyer and Jorika Visser.

Make sure not to miss this opportunity to taste and buy the excellent wines of Raka, and be prepared for some early Christmas Shopping as the Raka LUXUS COLLECTION and Quinary Magnums will be available at the Shop at Show . Both of these make great gifts and are very popular as personal or Corporate gifts.
